Hi there, my name is Yasmina Harbi, I'm french and I've always loved drawing and creating art. The avatar up there is from a drawing of my cat Kira.
Salut, moi c'est Yasmina Harbi, J'ai toujours aimé dessiner et créer. L'avatar au-dessus vient d'un dessin de mon chat Kira.
Why this website ?
Pourquoi ce site ?
Finding ideas and inspiration is one of the hardest part of making art for me. There is only so many studies and mindless practices you can do before getting discouraged about the lack of creativity. So when I was learning coding in university I decided it would be the perfect opportunity to practice it by creating a simple art idea generator, and that's how this all started !
Eventually I added more, started to make a website to host those generators, gave up on it for a long while and finally decided to get back to it during lockdown (2020, am I right ?). Even though it started out as a tool for myself, I'm really hoping that others will appreciate and use this website too. What could be more fulfilling than inspiring other to create more art in this world ?
Pour moi trouver des idées et de l'inspiration est l'une des choses les plus difficiles dans la création artistique. Il y a un nombre limité d'études et d'entraînement machinal que l'on peut faire avant de se sentir découragé par le manque de créativité. Alors quand j'apprenais à coder à l'université, j'ai décidé que ça serait l'opportunité parfaite d'essayer de faire un simple générateur d'idées artistiques, et voilà comment ça a commencé !
Finalement, j'ai ajouté plus de générateurs, puis j'ai commencé à en faire un site, avant d'abandonner le projet pendant un bon moment jusqu'au confinement (2020, hein ?). Même si tout cela a commencé par un outil fait seulement pour moi, j'espère vraiment que ce site sera utile à d'autres aussi. Et qu'est-ce qui pourrait être plus gratifiant que d'inspirer d'autres à créer plus d'art ?
